- Staff Partners Business are working alongside a lovely food wholesaler who are searching for a sales manager covering London, Kent, and parts of Sussex. It will be the post-holder’s responsibility to drive sales and growth within a geographical area through attracting new customers and researching new opportunities for growth. For this position, you must be available to travel around London, Kent, and parts of Sussex to oversee training and provide one to one meetings and appraisals to sales executives.
Main responsibilities:- Setting sales goals
- Managing individual and team budgets
- Creating a sales plan and proactively experimenting to improve execution
- Monitoring progress in real time and analysing data
- Overseeing sales training
- Coaching and mentoring individual sales employees
- Assessing the sales teams’ strengths & development areas, improving performance through coaching and regular meetings, 121’s and annual appraisals.
- Motivation, retention, and recruitment of a ‘premiership’ sales team.
- Establishing professional and productive relationships with key personnel within the business and key customers.
- Building and promoting healthy, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them.
- Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies, and programmes to Win new customer, grow existing customers share of wallet and retain regular orders.
- Providing regular reports of sales success and communicating the ‘voice of the customer’ data to senior leadership.
- Ensuring efficient and effective usage and adherence to company ‘tools’, processes, and policy.

- Excellent mentoring, coaching and good people management skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to maximise ability to reach goals.
- Ability to identify, recruit and hire talented sales reps and telesales.
Within this role, you will be monitored through KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) such as:
- Prospect meetings completed
- Recent invoices (within last 4 week) emailed to purchasing
- Number of interactions by customer over a period
- Total calls in and out
- Calls waiting
- Average call time
- Average call answer time
Monday – Friday
37 hours per week
