Contribute to the development and management of BSF, its systems and processes, and developing and overseeing of the technical ‘standards’ of the BSF Champions framework and its systems and processes working in conjunction with the Chief Executive.
To manage and further develop the approach and process for onboarding BSF Champions, supporting them on the journey and guiding them to completion and achievement of BSF Champion status.
To support the BSF Strategic Lead and assisting with the development of operational improvements to systems and processes to support business growth, efficiency and stability.
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing and advising on health, safety, quality and assessment (from a major hazard safety perspective) of our framework, processes and activities
- Working with other departments, particularly IT/technical to develop and improve the systems, processes and technology to support companies and Assessors through the BSF Champions process within the assessment portal
- Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement and development of the BSF framework and its delivery
- Manage the end-to-end assessment process for BSF Champions including liaison with the Assurance Team and ensuring alignment with other schemes (Considerate Constructors Scheme – CCS and Code for Construction Product Information – CCPI) where appropriate
- Take a lead on managing relationships across schemes to ensure alignment of operational systems, policies, procedures provided under shared services
- Coordinate and support the assessor community and the assignment of Assessors to companies undertaking the BSF Champions process
- Manage and develop the Assessor Management System (online administration and collaborative space for Assessors)
- Contribute to the establishment of, and then manage and provide coordination support for the Confirmation Panel which determines BSF Champion status outcome
- Develop and manage the mid-term review and re-assessment process for BSF Champions
- Work with the Chief Executive to deliver UKAS accreditation for the BSF Champions process including managing the operational preparations for that assessment
- Contributing to and writing reports and other technical documentation e.g., Key metrics (e.g., quarterly awareness/impact reports at sector level, etc.) Board reports, service specifications, guidance notes for users of assessment portal
- Manage, develop and grow the Learning and Excellence Hub with support from the BSF Strategic Lead and shared services teams e.g., CCS Best Practice Hub
- Support the Chief Executive and Strategic Lead and, where required, undertake presentations and webinars to industry and onboarding companies on the BSF Champions journey
- Contributing to marketing and promotional materials and activities
- Attending and participating in industry events
- Undertaking and managing discrete projects as required
- Supporting the development of long-term organisational strategy
- Deputising for the BSF Strategic Lead as appropriate.
Qualifications and/or Experience
Essential
- Project management qualification [or relevant experience]
- Risk and/or health & safety and/or quality management (preferably in a major hazard safety context)
- Accreditation, standards and/or assessment framework development and management
Desirable
- Degree in related field business health and safety, quality, organisational development, administration, management
- Experience in a major hazard safety industry or the construction industry
