- Are you an experienced medical administrator with previous management experience?
We are currently working with a local medical practice looking to hire a Deputy Practice Manager to join their management team. The Deputy Practice Manager will take on key responsibilities to ensure an efficient and effective practice service is delivered to the local community.
Key responsibilities:- Co-ordinate the recruitment of new permanent and temporary team members, including induction.
- Organise training for staff, including GPs and nurses.
- Organise staff rotas, including GPs, accounting for annual leave, study leave, and sick leave.
- Organise team meetings.
- Communicate with seconded, attached, and community health service staff to maintain an effective service.
- Enter smears from new patient records onto the system.
- Calculate monthly usage of vaccines and submit to the Pricing Prescription Authority.
- Ensure medical records are returned to the appropriate Health Authority when patients are de-registered.
- log in new patient records and update digital records when necessary.
- Assist with reception duties when necessary.
- Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained regularly.
- Arrange quotations for maintenance and improvements to the premises.
- Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Handle patient suggestions and complaints.
- Ensure cheques and cash taken are entered into the cashbook.
Requirements:- Previous experience in the administration of a medical practice or centre.
- Previous experience in any management role, although preferably in a medical setting.
- AMSPAR qualification preferred.
- Previous experience with the EMIS system would be beneficial.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Pay: £28,000 to £32,000 per week depending on experience.
