A Local NHS trust is looking to hire a HR Administrator to provide their HR department administrative support. The successful candidate will help ensure that the necessary processes and systems are in place within the department to ensure the efficient delivery of HR services. You will act as the first point of contact through the HR enquiry line and handling a rage of queries. In summary, you will contribute towards the delivery and development of the HR services within the trust.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • To be responsible for the issuing of terms and conditions of employment and contract amendments.
  • To process retirement and recognition of service awards and deal with any associated queries.  To play a key role in organising the annual Recognition of Service event.
  • To provide administrative support for annual EBA awards.
  • To monitor and provide regular reports on exit questionnaires.
  • To process maternity, paternity and adoption leave applications dealing with any routine queries that arise from these.
  • Assist in the provision of routine advice and support to managers in relation to defined HR policies and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Contributes to the review of policies and administrative processes to ensure that they are responsive to changing needs and implement those changes.
  • To ensure that paper based, and computerised systems are maintained to provide accurate and timely provision of management information in line with data protection legislation.
  • To understand recruitment, job evaluation and workforce information and medical staffing processes to support the wider HR Team as required.
  • To provide administrative support to members of the HR Team in relation to the organisation of grievance and disciplinary meetings, which will include typing up of notes and on occasion, attending meetings.
  • To undertake projects relating to the management of change, development, and improvement of employment practices under the guidance of more senior members of the HR Team.
  • Be willing to travel to other locations within the Trust to undertake duties as required.
 
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade C and above, including English and Maths.
  • Certificate in Personnel and Practice or an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of HR administrative procedures
  • Knowledge of a range of HR policies including Recruitment & Selection, Maternity, Annual Leave.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to resolve queries in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
 
This is a temporary ongoing position with an initial period of 1 month.
This is a band 4 position that is full-time Monday to Friday 9-5.
Band 4 pay is around 11.20 per hour.
