- Are you an experienced IT senior manager with a record of delivering to deadlines?
Do you have experience working within the healthcare industry with key systems including PAS and EPR?
Have you got at least two years’ experience managing applications that are based upon Oracle and SQL Server databases?
You would be required to provide IT leadership and manage the provision of a ‘end to end’ IT solution that supports and enables the continuous running of the operational service. Bringing together all component parts of the solution and managing all relevant 3rd party suppliers.
You will act as the IT interface to the Senior Management Team, being responsive to issues and requirements of service. Importantly, you will ensure GDPR and information security compliance standards are maintained across the service. Your leadership will embed a culture of continuous improvement across the entire IT Team.
Essential requirements:- Relevant degree supported by relevant post-graduate qualifications
- Significant experience at an IT senior management level and a track record of delivering to deadlines
- Significant experience of team leadership and development
- Significant experience of pathology IT systems, especially LIMS
- Experience of having worked with key healthcare systems, including PAS and EPR
- Familiarity and experience (two years at least) of managing applications based upon Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Significant experience of desktop/ office applications, especially Office 365
- Experience of having proactively driven IT service improvements
- IT service management experience
- Experience of managing external service providers
- Able to work proactively and plan, organise and manage own workload
- Project management and influencing skills in addition to personal drive and results orientation
- Strong communication skills and able to deal professionally with people at all levels
- Ability to coach and mentor staff
- Must be flexible in approach to the work as priorities change
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Confident and personable with strong emotional intelligence
- A fast learner with excellent attention to detail
- Significant experience of working with health data, information governance hence having a clear understanding of the obligations and responsibilities of confidentiality
- Experience and familiarity with cyber security controls
- Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and adaptability
- Can do attitude
