- Staff Partners Business are currently working with a local client in the Education sector looking to hire a HR Advisor to join their team. The successful applicate will work collaboratively to deliver outstanding people solutions through coaching, influencing, challenging, and guiding all staff. There will also be a requirement to continually review operating models and structures to ensure they can grow and evolve to meet the needs of the business.
Key responsibilities:- Support all employee relation queries and provide detailed advice and guidance on employee relations activities including staff complaints, capability and conduct issues, grievance procedures, disciplinary procedures, performance review monitoring meetings and absence.
- Work closely with the HR Associate to ensure that probations, absences, and changes to contracts are tracked, recorded, and processed accordingly and in a timely fashion. This includes changes to pay with payroll and providing authorisation forms to the HR Administrators for processing.
- Assist the HRBP in delivering a high quality and professional HR service which meets the needs of the business and contributes to achieving its strategic aims.
- Take a lead role in embedding the health & wellbeing strategy and provide advice and guidance on health & wellbeing and be a Mental Health First Aider.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders in the business
- Assist the HRBP in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement and talent analytics.
- Have a good understanding of the many different responsibilities of the HR function (e.g., Learning & Development, reward, compensation & benefits)
- Coach, mentor and offer advice to both your peers and junior employees.
- Work collaboratively with the Director, People & Organisational Development, HRBP and Talent Acquisition Partner to lead on and deliver strategic HR initiatives and projects.
- Assist the HR department in full compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and other legislation, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with HR colleagues, and colleagues throughout the college, to ensure an excellent and consistent HR service provision.
- Embed equality and diversity throughout the role and ensure that relevant legislation is adhered to.
Requirements:- Previous experience working as a HR Advisor or a similar level position in HR.
- Strong knowledge of HR procedures and regulations.
- CIPD qualified preferred.
- Experience working within the Education sector is preferred but not required.
Salary: £27,000 - £29,500
Hours: Full-time
