- Description
- We are currently working with a local client based out of Hoddeston who are looking for immediate starters to join them on a temporary basis to help support a project with Scanning documents the successful candidate must have an eye for detail and are keen to expand your experience.
- Ensure documents are efficiently and promptly prepared in the line with procedures and productivity measures.
- Prepare the documents as per job specification.
- Complete box activity report, ensuring relevant information is filled out.
- Once complete, place the boxes in correct location for scanning.
- Scan all documents by the appropriate method, efficiently and promptly in the line with procedures and productivity measures.
- Organising of the electronic directories on the server to provide an image structure.
- Using software tools to number, organise and condition images e.g. rotation, de-skewing, cropping and other processes.
- Maintain and clean scanner regularly and inform either the IT department or your team leader immediately of any equipment issues,
- Knowing how to insert and handle rescanned images and insert them into structured database.
- Maintain daily records of preparation errors.
- Read and understand the Job Specification for rules and guidance to carry out the indexing of specific customer’s documents.
- Using Excel applications to manipulate data to form the index and to merge indexes together.
- Interpreting and extracting information from various sources and areas of client documents.
- CD/DVD copying, labelling, and testing.
- Convert files and form projects in Adobe Acrobat.
- Use OCR (optical character recognition) facilities and incorporate into final product.
- Producing the relevant delivery media using the information prepared for the project.
- Preparing and printing artwork for the disks.
- Check the agreed percentage of files, checking image quality, file size and compression, spelling of index, reconcile of files to customer supplied list.
- Log all scanning errors that are highlighted daily.
- Manage and control file requests in line with customer requirements and timelines.
Pay: £11.00 - £12.00 per hour
