Description

A exciting new position has arisen at one of the contruction industries leading regulatory bodies. They are currently looking for a Partnership and Business Development Manager to come in and take leadership of current and future relationships as well and sustaining relationships within the procurement frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and engaging with procurement frameworks, companies, stakeholders, partners, customers and clients including:
    • seek out the appropriate contacts in an organisation
    • generate leads and cold call prospective customers
    • meet with partners/customers/clients face to face or over the phone
    • foster and develop strong relationships with frameworks/ companies/partners/customers/clients
    • understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
    • have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them.
  • Develop, grow and manage a pipeline of prospects and encourage and support them to progress onto the BSF Champions process.
  • Keep company intelligence up-to-date and use this to inform prioritisation of prospects and manage ongoing contact and relationships with companies
  • Input into and help deliver targets for participation and income for registered signatories (as a prospect pipeline for BSF Champions), corporate supporters, and most importantly BSF Champions
  • Build relationships with participating procurement frameworks, and work to recruit new ones (particularly regionals) who will support and embed BSF as a requirement within their frameworks and ensure their ongoing engagement and involvement.
  • Work with and support the Assessor community to build relationships with new and existing participants and share company intelligence
  • research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Preparing and sharing data to inform decision making.
  • Development and management of overall approach and use of Salesforce CRM and management of intelligence from our pipeline.
  • Contribute to promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department including:

Skills & Experience 

Essential

  • Working knowledge of procurement frameworks [in construction advantageous]
  • Project management experience
  • Organised and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to create strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.

Desirable

  • Degree in Business Development/ Management /Sales [or equivalent experience]
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in Salesforce
  • Experience with CRM tools
  • Presenting skills
