Staff Partners Business are excited to be working with an established and growing company within the chemistry sector who are looking to hire a Marketing Director. The successful candidate will take leadership of the company’s marketing function, developing a clear vision and strategy whilst managing and growing the overall marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Define the company’s target segments. Understand the needs of current and prospective customers in those segments and manage the existing product portfolio to fit these requirements.
· Market the company’s current product portfolio and launch new products to market. Ensuring that the sales team and distributors are fully informed and selling effectively.
· Manage the company’s website and presence on eCommerce platforms.
· Generate new business opportunities for products in target geographies.
· Maintain and help define the company’s brand, keeping to agreed visual and written standards, positioning, and messaging.
· Manage and grow a high-performance marketing team.
Key Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position with a record of achievement across demand generation, product marketing, and team management.
· Previous experience as a product manager or product marketing manager.
ideally several years working in a major chemical synthesis company or major supplier to the industry preferred.
· High awareness of the contract research/development/manufacturing chemistry industry preferred.
· Experience in a business that sells via independent distributors preferred but not essential.
· Knowledge of current CRM and digital marketing systems, preferably WordPress, Salesforce/Pardot and Magento
· Degree level education in chemistry or a relevant alternative qualification or experience preferred
· Formal business or marketing qualification
