- We are working with a market leading business that requires a Warehouse Supervisor to join their expanding business.
Purpose
This is a first line management role and as such is operationally inclusive, ensuring that the business is managed to the highest standards to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
To exceed the business requirements. With responsibility to ensure company policies and procedures including Health & Safety are strictly applied.
Key Responsibilities (This list is not exhaustive)
Leadership of direct reports
Monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators
To create and to ensure adherence of Standard Operating Procedures.
Regular review of all standard operating procures with recommendations for continuous improvement
Adherence to all Company rules and regulations including Health & Safety
Daily task allocation to your direct reports to ensure business requirements are achieved
Pro-active planning to ensure resource levels, equipment and consumables are sufficient to maintain operations
Stock management ensuring all products are stored and handled in a suitable manner at all times
Development of your direct reports to improve productivity, improve quality and to work safely
Act as leader and role model always
General housekeeping
Ensuring all core and agency staff are trained using the correct and relevant procedures
Accepting deliveries accurately according to set company procedures
To assist with warehouse stock counts
Requirements
Technical hands on Warehouse experience of inbound/outbound, storage & stock control
Technical skills required to operate within a warehouse such as MHE operation, picking, packing, despatch & returns.
Ability to support development of the team
Health & Safety awareness

Reports to Assistant Warehouse Manager
Contracted Hours - 40 hours to be scheduled Sunday to Saturday including Bank Holidays as required to carry out the role effectively and provide management cover for the warehouse
