Are you a seasoned Merchadiser with a strong knowledge of working in the FMCG/online retail environment?

Are you experienced in working with Amazon?

We are working with a fantastic client based in Harlow whom seek a strong Merchandiser, with a strong knowledge of working with Amazon.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Senior Merchandising Stock Controller to join a growing buying team. You will work closely with the Product Manager to plan and build their range, taking control of stock levels to maximise profit and coordinating a team of proficient merchandisers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the smooth running of daily vendor orders from the UK, EU and US, from stock check to order completion
  • Ensure new products are uploaded onto Amazon in a timely, efficient manner
  • Forecasting sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans
  • Good competency with spreadsheet and database software packages with the ability to import and export data
  • Proactively monitor sales and stock in order to optimise sales and margin performance
  • Oversee Amazon analytics and produce regular reports which provide insights to allow us to keep improving and continue to grow
  • Maintain the delivery dates and bookings for deliveries into Amazon
  • Good understanding of the dynamics of Amazon product categories
  • Timely approval of purchase order payments and the additional actions required
  • Evaluate the running’s of the department whilst focusing on lead times and general performance
  • Prepare and analyse sales and forecast reports, making recommendations as necessary
  • Create and maintain all Amazon product safety and technical files
  • Working closely with other departments to successfully plan product launches
  • Ensure products are correctly merchandised on Amazon
  • Manage clearance stock through off price channels
  • Ability to oversee, coach and motivate colleagues. Proven experience at coordinating a team

Skills required:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working in an online retail environment (would be advantageous)
  • Experience of working in the FMCG industry (would be advantageous)
  • IT literate and able to manage, process and upload large volumes of data
  • High level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Extensive experience in planning, merchandise and direct sourcing
  • High quality planning and organisational skills
  • Team player with a positive 'can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and meet simultaneous tight deadlines
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships
  • An innovator, constantly pushing boundaries and coming up with new ways of doing things

Hours: 8:15am to 4:45pm
